JenKel Enterprises Awards Scholarship

DanielleJenKel Scholarship

This year's award, presented by local crafter Lisa Trombley, was awarded at Keene High School in June 2008. Here is what she had to say:

"I am honored to be presenting this award tonight. Jenny Audet and Kellie Jones are crafters who saw a need for top-notch craft fairs in the local area that would give crafters a stage on which to show and sell their handy work. Accordingly, JenKel Enterprises was formed in 2005 and I have participated in their craft shows since then. In an effort to give back to our community, which has supported their craft fairs tremendously, they decided to give a $500 scholarship to a deserving Keene High graduate each year in order to help some local, talented students further their education.

This year’s candidate has done a tremendous amount of volunteer work in Puerto Rico, Virginia, Connecticut, New York City and right here in Keene over her High School years, and one day hopes to manage a store for a well known designer. She has studied Clothing Construction and Advanced Clothing while at Keene High School. She will be attending Johnson and Wales University, in Rhode Island, to study Fashion Merchandising. This award goes to DANIELLE."

Congratulations, Danielle! The best of luck to you as you continue your education.

The JenKel Enterprises scholarship is awarded once a year to a graduate who has exemplified exellence in a creative field. It has been a great way for the company to give back to the community, and is generously supported by many of the crafters and vendors that have previously attended the Keene Craft Shows.
